Season Three
Don't Call It a Comeback
What's up, Cactus Listeners! It's been a long time since we've touched basis. As Season Three is underway, I'm trying to find more new indie tunes for you guys to groove to and have a multitude of projects from different spectrums coming at me. I started an Independent Zine at my school, Through the Grapevine, and was doing my activist work as well. I appreciate your patience, truly. To keep you guys entertained though, I'm dropping a Succulent Special exploring the Philosophy of Science... unexpected, right? Not only that, I'm also opening up pre-orders for Season Two sweatshirts again for anyone who missed the first opportunity to do so. Follow me on instagram to stay in touch with more Cactus Radio Updates. Subscribe to our YouTube Channel to (kinda) interact with your favorite alternative radio show host, me!

Succulent Special
Local Artists Edition
To spread some love and fresh tunes, here are some Local Artists who deserve to be shared. To be a local artist, it can be hard standing on the outside, watching other internet sensations take off while you’re still selling CDs out of your trunk. Other times, it can feel like nobody’s listening. In those dark moments, somehow, local artists continue to have the ambition and determination to keep creating content.
I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of you Cactus Listeners for allowing these artists to be recognized by you; it’s a beautiful thing, my friends. You can find all of the artists' social media pages and websites on the Spreaker page. |

Season Two Sweatshirts
Final Call for Season Two Sweatshirt Orders, Open til March 21st, 2021
Last season's sweatshirts were a hit! Customers still get compliments on their sweatshirts to this day. To keep the good vibes flowing, I designed this season's sweatshirts. To avoid any production malfunctions, I won't proceed with production until each design gets 12 Pre-order Interest Forms. By sharing the Cactus Radio Sweatshirt flyers, you could contribute to the success of this year's merch. Thank you for all of your support. And don't forget to check out the new merch under the "Order Merch" page. Below are some Frequently Asked Questions that have come up: 1. ) Do I need to provide my card information to pre-order? No, your card information isn't required yet. I'm collecting pre-orders to create an email list in order to inform anyone who's interested about pricing, shipping, and payment. 2. ) I want a sweatshirt but don't have the money right now. Can I still put in a pre-order? You don't have to have the money right now. As long as you're interested in buying, I'll add you to the email list that'll talk about the price, shipping, and payment. Lastly, if you'd like to, you can email me directly about your situation and we could arrange something, more than likely. I value your support and refuse to disable you from supporting my brand. 3. ) When will the money be due? The sweatshirts are $35 and the payment won't be due until the week of March 21st, 2021. Once I email everybody about the payment, be aware that I am willing to communicate with you about when you'll be able pay for the sweatshirt. If you have any further questions, email me @[email protected]. I'll be glad to help! |
Stay Connected
YouTube Channel
After a lot of planning and consideration, I've decided to not limit Cactus Radio to its audible presentation. Cactus Radio is now a YouTube Channel! I decided to do this because sometimes it's best to see what I'm saying to you. The benefits of using the YouTube Channel include: Seeing the Cover Art and Artist of Each Song, Getting to Know Your Host More, Watch Short Movie Clips of Season Two Episodes, and Get First-Hand Updates about Merchandise and other Cactus Radio related news.
It should be noted that the YouTube Channel is not as dependable as the original Cactus Radio platform, Spreaker. Because of YouTube's copyright guidelines, some episodes won't include every song from the original recording. Also, as the host of Cactus Radio, my schedule does not enable me to edit every Cactus Radio podcast episode into a visual aide onto YouTube. Because of this, not every episode of Cactus Radio will be on its channel. In addition to cutting songs, YouTube episodes aren't able to be downloaded unless you purchase YouTube Red. In conclusion, if you prefer the full-length episodes and would like to download the episodes to have the music available to you offline for free, use the Spreaker website and the Cactus Radio website to consume full episodes. WOCO Radio Station
Despite being a full time student at Wofford College and maintaining the duties of Cactus Radio, I'm proud to say, Cactus Radio won't stop and can't stop. To keep the show alive, I've joined forces with Wofford College's radio station, WOCO Radio. While working with WOCO, I've gotten my own time slot and gained new partners who are all helping our radio station become well established on campus. Check out our shows and website here:

Spotlight Moment
Special Galentine
Within the music industry, there are several artists who are proud representatives of the LGBTQIA+ Community. People like Frank Ocean, Tyler, the Creator, and Troye Sivan are a few names that come to mind when thinking about musicians who are out. However, I find it hard to list off lesbian musicians who use specific pronouns like she and her when describing their romances. This year, Cactus Radio presents girl in red as our Galentine. Her music is beyond lovable and enthralling. Similar to Lorde, she has a chilling and mysterious appearance as she sings her songs with candor. Click on her image to listen to her song We Fell in Love in October.

Black History Month
In honor of African American History Month, I'd like to share my Shakin' Fists and Hips playlist from Spotify. This playlist features plucky alternative black women whose albums lyrically enchant their audiences as we follow their black experience. I recommend putting this playlist on shuffle. It focuses on five artists in particular: Kari Faux, noname, SZA, Rihanna, and Ravyn Lenae. Click on the image to listen!

Jaden Smith
Jaden Smith
As a sequel to his 2017 album, SYRE, Jaden Smith dropped The Sunset Tapes: A Cool Tape Story in November. I recommend this album if you're trying to elevate your spirits during your sad boy hours. The songs have moments of trap drums as well as nostalgic imagery on several tracks while he sings with his heart on his sleeve.
